Black Sea Bulgaria Itinerary: The most scenic route

Bulgarije Bourgas Black Sea Zwarte Zee

Bulgaria, located in Southeast Europe, is a fascinating country with a rich history, breathtaking landscapes, and a vibrant culture. The country also borders the magnificent Black Sea with a stunning coastline. Many young people know the region through Sunny Beach, but there is much culture, nature, and history to be found along the Black Sea coast. We will take you to some noteworthy places and show you how to get the most out of a trip along this part of the coast.

Transportation during your Bulgaria travel route

Public transportation in Bulgaria is very well-organized. There are buses within neighborhoods, cities, and regions. You could definitely visit Bulgaria this way. However, this is a slower mode of transportation, so a rental car would be a better solution and you have a lot more freedom.

How many days do you need for this travel route?

For this travel route, we recommend taking 7 days. If you have more time, be sure to check out our future 10-day and 13-day itinerary or the 17-day routes or add an extra sunny day at the beach. If you prefer to go faster or stay in Bulgaria for a shorter time, you could, for example, spend one day less at the beach.
